The next Hear 'N Wear event is coming up in Nashville on Saturday July 11th. Friend and fellow musician, Cora Rose made this awesome video to explain how it works!
I'm so excited to share that Dance Mom's has used another one of my songs for their show performances. The very talented Maddie Zeigler (dancer of the Sia videos) did a wonderful solo dance to "Loose Cannon."
I had a blast performing and being interviewed on RAW Music Urban Sessions. There were some great questions! Listen to live performances of Home, This Means War, Tidal Waves, and Metamorphosis.
I had the best time in my travels over the past few weeks. The CD Release at Subculture was epic! I love that venue so much. Then I got to play in Philly, Hamden, CT, Staten Island, and Mahwah, NJ. It was such a blast. Thanks to all of those that came out, bought cds and bolo ties. It was a great experience and I look forward to more shows coming up!
I am really thrilled to release the music video for "Home". It was such an amazing experience working with Anna Haas (director). I hope you all enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed acting in it! If you want a to download the song, just click here!
Copenhagen was a whirlwind and an absolutely magical experience. I was there 5 days/4 nights and had the opportunity to play 4 shows! I performed at Cafe Retro, Blaggards Apotek, and 2 house concerts that were completely magical. During the days, I wandered around taking canal tours, eating Danish food, making new friends, hanging with old friends, and visiting places like Tivoli and the Happiness Wall. It was truly an amazing experience and I look so forward to more touring in Europe!
My new single "One Brick" is officially out today, and no this is not an April Fools' joke! I am so excited for you all to hear this song - the final song in my 4-part single release from my upcoming album. The lyrics are very special to me and I hope you all like the song and the encouraging message it sends.
I had the wonderful opportunity to perform on the roof at the Hard Rock Cafe for Nashville's Balcony TV! I was joined by drummer Ian O'Neill and cellist Josh Dent. We played "One Brick" which will be released as a single on April 1st. Thanks to Alyssa Jayce for being such a great host and thanks to Balcony TV for having us!
I have enjoyed the RAW showcases so much! In December, I performed the Holiday RAWk Show in Charlotte and had a blast. Here is the video interview with some performances clips of the show. The video was done by Juan Ossa. Hope you enjoy!
The Love You Best Contest has come to a close. This has been such an amazing contest! The winner of the Love You Best Contest is RACHEL EPP! All of the entries were so wonderful and it was really difficult to choose a winner. Since I knew so many of you, your families, and your pets, I let my team decide the winner. Make sure to check out the honorable mentions too!
If you haven't yet, make sure you check out the new single "Love You Best" on ITunes.
Since I am feeling "lovey" with all of the Valentine's stuff that is gushing out of every store right now, I thought I might be fun to have a contest! Starting today, I am running the LOVE YOU BEST CONTEST. All you have to do is share a picture of the person/place/pet/thing you "love best" on social media, tag me @jenningsmusic, and hashtag #loveyoubest. You can also email it to me or share it on my Facebook page here.
On February 10th, my team and I will go through all of the pictures to sift out our favorites. The winner of this contest will receive a very special care package for Valentine's Day with a cd of Love You Best, some goodies from my jewelry/bolo tie business No Sass Creations, and other treats as well! We will also post the winner's (or winners' if we have a tie) pictures on the website. I will also be posting a picture a day of the things that I love best starting with the subject of the song, my better half Dave!
And that's a wrap! I can't express enough how happy and thankful I am for everyone who came and helped make the first ever Nashville Hear 'N Wear a success. It was a day filled with music and thrifting, and I hope you all had as much fun as I did!
Looking forward to future Hear 'N Wear events to come! Stay tuned!

It's finally here! This Saturday I will be hosting the Hear N' Wear concert and clothing swap event in Nashville. Come out to Deavor in historic Germantown and listen to some great tunes while bringing in a new wardrobe for the new year. Be sure to click on the Hear N' Wear tab at the top of the website to get information on admission and see all of the awesome artists that will be performing. You don't want to miss this!
What a fun holiday feature! I recently chatted with Lhyme.com, a music and food fusion site (two of my favorite things!) about my favorite dishes, what's extra good for singers to snack on, and the amazingness of chocolate pound cake. Here's a snippet of their post!
I recently had a chance to chat with the lovely and talented Mary Jennings while having her fill me in on all things Mary Jennings as well as her go to noshes. The Bolo Tie Maker (yes…she sells Bolo Ties she makes as merch at her shows which is sooo creative ! ) is obsessed with Nutella , grain bread and pretzels. She is a junkie for French fries and a good fried chicken sandwich with all the trimmings. While in the studio working, Jennings’s go to foods must follow one important rule, no fork required.
'Tis the season of giving! In that spirit, I give you "Little Drummer Boy" for free download. I had a blast recording this song, (I'll tell ya - I wish I was a drummer!) and I'd love if you would find joy in mixing it in to your holiday playlists. Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum! Download it here.
I was delighted this fall when LP accepted a couple of No Sass bolo ties as gifts. A huge fan of her music (and I mean HUGE!), I searched for just the right pieces for her and put together a fun little package, hoping that she would appreciate them as much as I appreciate her music.
You can imagine how even more delighted I was when she shared a picture on Instagram, sporting one of the bolos, and tagged me with some super sweet compliments!
This was her note with the photo:
Hey @jenningsmusic thank u so much for the bolo tie . It's awesome . Sorry for the delirious intoxicated grin but been wanting to get a shot of it and it was finally time. Hey and I loved the song u sent me!! Check out Mary's music and her designs at nosasscreations.com #coolpeeps
Thank you LP!!!
The wonderful Lady Indie blog took the time to interview me this week. We talked about the inspiration behind my new single "Metamorphosis" as well as my musical beginnings and plans for the future. Here is a little sample of what we talked about:
LADY INDIE: You say your music is your therapy. In what way have writing these songs changed you for the better?
MARY JENNINGS: I think that music has provided an outlet for me. I get asked a lot, “how does such a happy and nice person write such dark and melancholic material?” Now obviously not all of it is dark and melancholic but a lot of it is so I can understand the question. My feeling has always been that I write these songs to deal with anything going on in my life...
I am so excited to announce that my new single "Metamorphosis" is officially out today, December 1st! With each day that passes, we adjust to the new and ever-changing reality. As with all else, I have experienced these changes in both my music and myself. This new single is inspired by these changes. Be sure to download it on iTunes today!
